What makes the leading manufacturers of internal combustion engines (ICE) to improve the design of these engines?

First, there is growing "energy hunger" in the developed world. Second, all of stricter environmental requirements of internal combustion engines, and, thirdly, the need to improve the efficiency of the latter.

Even today in Western Europe are presented to the ICE Euro 4 environmental standards, but it is clear that even the construction of sophisticated engines have their limitations, for example, the release of hazardous substances into the atmosphere.

Ongoing work to create today, and electric cars powered by hydrogen fuel, unfortunately, far over on the car engine as the stock of progress and of power, and most importantly, for its value.

It is therefore evident that in the near future will not have to rely on the complete replacement of the engine. The argument of elektro – hydrogen and hydrogen engines are also on closer inspection looks very doubtful.

Electrical energy is absolute, environmentally friendly and clean. But no one today thinks that after two years of operation will need to dispose of the battery.

It is well known that such an alkaline battery with lead-zinc platinum couple of CO2 and NOX, or a pair of lead, alkalis, salts of cadmium.

Hydrogen engines are explosive, and their catalytic batteries must be recycled, too.

Obviously, the solution in the near future lies in finding an environmentally safe and cheap fuel for internal combustion engines.

Number of firms invited to solve this problem by applying the so-called biofuels (fuel from vegetable oils or a mixture of various hydrocarbons with bio- oil’s).

As shown by recent studies, the use of biofuels is a decrease in engine power and, moreover, is already active use of biofuels has increased the cost of food, and, further, may even undermine the food security of many countries at the expense of plowing fertile land for "biofuel" culture.

Of particular interest to use as a fuel for internal combustion engines nano-emulsions based on hydrocarbons (oils) and water.

As a result of long-term cooperation in the field of building equipment for the plant processes sono-himicheskih "RELTEK" (Russia) and the firm "NanoEm" (Israel) has developed a number of the original ultrasound equipment to implement new technologies in the field sono- chemistry .

Created a set of equipment for metal oxide nano-powders and get nano-emulsions, including fuel.
Studies have shown that the use of up to 20-30% water mixed with regular diesel fuel:

  • Twice the decrease of CO emissions of NOX and due to more complete combustion of fuel;
  • There is no "coking" of the engine due to the higher flash point fuel in the chamber;
  • Uses less fuel by 20-30% without reducing the load-carrying capacity of the engine;
  • No costly fuel additive;
  • No need to upgrade the engine under the use of water fuel mixture.

The latest joint development - a high emulsifier (sono-reaktor) for «ultra-fine» or nano-emulsion with droplet size from several tens to several hundreds of nanometers.

Recently, more and more inventors are included in the design and experimental verification capabilities and properties of bio - fuel compositions and characteristics of their use in modern thermodynamic systems
