WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center announced that a ruling has been issued in favor of Western Union Holdings regarding rights to the internet domain name WesternUnionFoundation.com. Western Union, represented in this case by The GigaLaw Firm, filed a complaint with the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Office,asserting legal rights to the disputed domain name. Western Union Holdings is the proprietor of many trade mark registrations of or including the name "Western Union " . Therefore, they contended that the disputed domain name is confusingly similar to its trademark. Moreover, they contended that the respondent registered and used the disputed domain name in bad faith. However, the respondent defended himself by sending an email to the Panel, in which he explains that he didn't registered and used the domain name in bad faith.Moreover, he accuses Western Union previous management of some criminal and evil accusation against him regarding other issues. He added that he will accept to offer this domain name to the Western Union incoming CEO and to the Board of Directors, only if they conduct an internal investigation of the actions of their General Counsel and their previous management. However, the Panel decided the disputed domain name be transferred from the respondent to the complainant.
