The Canadian company WiLAN started lawsuit against companies Acer, Apple, Lenovo, LG Electronics, Sony, Toshiba and 14 other computer makers, accusing them of violating its patents. The site WiLAN tells that the company is engaged in technological innovations and licensing. In total, in this lawsuit appears 20 top U.S. and Asian manufacturers. The suit was filed yesterday in District Court, Eastern District of Texas. WiLAN accused listed companies of violating patents related to Bluetooth technology. Company dissatisfacted with the organization of working with Bluetooth and principles of data exchange between the wireless port and the computer system logic. Also being sued this companies: Atheros, Belkin, Broadcom, D-Link, Dell, Gateway, Hewlett-Packard, Intel, Marvell Semiconductor, Motorola, Personal Communications Devices, Texas Instruments and UTStarcom. The lawsuit states that the company had violated a patent from 1996. Today in the WiLAN portfolio more than 800 patents and earlier the company has already sued the technological giants by them. There are no information about own developments of this company for today.
