Apple has agreed to a strategic question: it has received in the United States full rights to the trademark and brand "iPad". Previously, the right to a name owned by Fujitsu, which, however, did not have such grand plans for the iPad, like Apple. Officially reported that the transfer of rights still held on March 17, the same date in the U.S. Bureau of Patent and Trademark Office registered the new owner of the brand.
According to independent lawyers for Apple was very important to get right to the brand right now, because next week in the U.S. will start selling apple tablets. In the case of sale gadget by that name, the Fujitsu would be an objective reason for the claim that it would have all the chances to win.
With regard to product iPad at Fujitsu, this mobile computer with 3.5-inch screen, runs on Intel-based chip and operating system Windows Mobile. Also computer supports WiFi and Bluetooth. Sale iPad as mobile device for managers and vendors, allowing real-time tracking of business data. In the U.S., the Japanese company acquired the rights to the brand iPad in 2003, but here such a device was produced under the brand Mag-Tek.
Financial terms of the agreement on transfer of title were not disclosed.
Earlier, on exactly the same scheme Apple has received from Cisco Systems the rights to brand "iPhone".
