The Russian government increases enforcement measures for the protection of intellectual property rights, including protection of copyrights and trademarks. This reported to RIA-Novosti Deputy Press Minister of Russia Vladimir Grigoriev being in Washington.

The Commission also adopted a decision declaring a state of a single federal identification marks, which will be used by manufacturers to confirm their legal activities, as well as trade inspections, and law-enforcement bodies to combat counterfeiting, said deputy minister. Decision of the government commission charged the Interior Ministry to establish a specialized structure in the central and local levels to deal with violations of intellectual property, said Grigoriev.

Planned training, including the use of foreign experience, special forces officers, who will on that subject, as well as judges and prosecutors who will handle the case on intellectual property, said Deputy Minister. According to him, through such structures as the Russian Rospatent and the Ministry of Education of Russia, a new system of higher legal education in matters of copyright and intellectual property.

The commission includes representatives of the SCC, and soon she also intends to address the issues of combating illegal imports and exports of products with the assistance capabilities of the Russian Customs, said Grigoriev.
